Project case study

Replacing deteriorated stucco at a sliding-door base

Crumbling stucco at the base of a sliding door left a deteriorated strip to repair. AWC replaced that material with a cement-based repair and documented the rebuilt base.

Review water-related stucco and wall conditions

The visible problem

The project record describes crumbling stucco at the base of a sliding door. The initial photograph shows deteriorated and missing material along that lower edge.

Repair documented

AWC's notes describe replacement with cement-based material. The after photograph shows a continuous repaired strip along the sliding-door base.

The documented result

The record shows the rebuilt base strip at the repair stage. It does not show a completed paint or color-coat match. Keeping those finish steps separate makes the result and any remaining finish work clear.

Applying the lesson to another property

Deterioration next to a door deserves a review of both the affected material and the nearby transition. The visible surface alone cannot establish the condition of concealed flashing or waterproofing. Define the repair layers, access, and finish work before approving a scope.

Project intake

Start with the visible condition.

Text your photos to 619-327-9513, or use the request form. Include the property city, what needs repair, and any leak or repeat-repair history.

Using the form? Start with one useful JPG, PNG, or GIF photo, or one PDF report. To send several views or another file format, text your photos instead. Photos are optional in the form.

AWC reviews the request, clarifies missing details, and explains whether the next step can stay remote or needs a site evaluation. Work is scheduled after scope and pricing are approved.
